Business Collaborations

Business Collaborations

Too often when people take science classes, they are asked to learn things with no connection to where they could be used beyond the classroom.

Reverie Productions seeks to counter this common occurrence by collaborating with local businesses in our media development. We get concrete examples of practical application for videos and other instructional content, and our business partners get exposure by supporting science education.

This diagram of the human ear was designed by Reverie Productions as part of our partnership with Vermont Audiology.

If your business chooses to partner with Reverie Productions, we’ll work with you in three primary ways.

  1. We’ll incorporate your business into videos on basic biology for our Sci5-Videos YouTube channel. Your business and its logo will be featured in the video, and you’ll be able to link the video to your own website or social media.

  2. We’ll design instructional graphics for our use and yours featuring both your logo and ours.

  3. We’ll design customized educational videos specific to your business for your use on websites and social media. These videos will be hosted on the Reverie Productions YouTube channel.

The first two services will be provided at no cost. The custom video service will be available for a donation after we are incorporated and have federal 501(c) status.

An early draft of animation for the hearing physiology videos is available to the left. Make sure to watch with sound on so you can hear the sound effects as well as see the animation.

Final versions of the hearing videos will incorporate Prof. S as a narrator and participant (via greenscreen effects) as well as video and/or audio commentary recorded at Vermont Audiology.

After completion of the core videos, we will be producing another set of videos on clinical topics specifically for Vermont Audiology to use on their web page.

We are currently partnering with Vermont Audiology of Montpelier on a series of graphics and videos. As part of that collaboration, we are producing a pair of labeled anatomical diagrams (one of which was seen above) and a series of videos on the physiology of hearing. We will do some video filming at their location, and they will be formally credited as a partner on all of the associated videos we publish on our Sci5-Videos channel. Vermont Audiology plans to use the graphics and some of the videos on their business website to create a section of educational tools for their patients.

Like the idea of collaborating with us but unsure if you are a viable candidate? Let us be the judge of that! The range of collaboration opportunities is wider than you might realize. Just consider the possibilities…

  • The fundamental metabolic process of fermentation is the is used in brewing, baking, and cheese-making.

  • The process of harvesting maple sap is grounded in basic plant fluid transport physiology.

  • The structure of thick skin (found on our palms and soles of our feet) generates friction in a fashion similar to tire surfaces.

  • Collagen protein (essential for bone function) has a tensile stregth comparable to that of low-carbon steel.
