Coloring Books

Coloring Books

We start with original photographs of animals, plants, or fungi. We use AI to convert the photos into cartoons, then edit the cartoonized images into unique coloring pages. In each book you’ll find twelve thematically-grouped coloring pages, each with a different organism. Each collection also includes pages aimed at parents and teachers. These pages provide an introductory lesson on a topic in biology, include the original photographs for reference, and offer a variety of information about each organism in the collection, including its scientific name (and how to say it!), its relative size, its distribution in the United States, and several fun facts. We also include in each collection active links to the on-line resources we used in preparing the books. Look for a new book every one to two months!

10-year old Emory loved learning the different names of the moths and how they’re all different!

Coloring Pages

These ecologically important animals don’t always get the same love as their butterfly relatives, but not all moths are drab, boring nighttime critters. In this collection, kids can learn about twelve species of moths living in the southeastern U.S. (and in other parts of the country, too!) as they re-imagine them with their own color palette!

Teachers’ & Parents’ Pages

Learn about sexual dimorphism (male and female organisms looking different from each other), and information about these moths that you can share with your kids. This includes their size (there are some very big and very small moths in this collection!), how they’re named, how they defend against predators, and how they interact with humans.

We’d love to hear what you and your kids think about our coloring books! Please contact us to share your thoughts, your child’s comments, and if you would like to share their artwork on our website.
